Transaxillary Incision

An incision of approximately 2–3 cm is made along the inner crease of the armpit to insert the implant. Inframammary Fold Incision

The implant is inserted through an incision along the natural crease beneath the breast. Compared with other incision methods, this technique allows a faster return to daily activities and is preferred by homemakers, athletes, and celebrities. The scar may be visible when lying down, but it becomes barely noticeable after approximately two years. Breast Implants Q&A

A. Some patients become extremely sensitive after implant surgery, to the point where even the slightest brush of clothing can feel startling, while others may experience reduced sensation. As the implant is inserted into the breast, it can stimulate the nerves on the outer and inner sides of the breast, which may cause occasional tingling or numbness. In fact, this can be a positive response indicating nerve recovery. For approximately 6 months to 1 year, the body goes through an adaptation period, during which sensation may alternate between heightened and reduced sensitivity before gradually returning to normal. In very rare cases, sensation may be lost, but an experienced surgeon can minimize this risk through appropriate dissection and by minimizing tissue damage during surgery.

A. Implant surgery itself does not cause the breasts to sag more or accelerate breast sagging. However, sagging may occur over time due to a natural decrease in skin elasticity. Therefore, we recommend paying attention to breast moisturization after surgery and wearing supportive underwear, such as a bralette, even when you are at home, to provide gentle support for the breasts.

A. This can occasionally occur in patients with poor circulation. With an armpit incision, the arms are kept extended to the sides for more than an hour, which may temporarily cause numbness or reduced sensation in the arms. However, this is a temporary symptom and will recover over time.

A. The fat graft survival rate varies depending on individual body characteristics, but generally, a higher BMI tends to be associated with better fat graft survival. On average, the survival rate is 65% for conventional fat grafting and 75% for Basic Cell fat grafting. In addition, avoiding excessive dieting immediately after surgery and maintaining a nutritious diet can greatly help with fat graft survival.

A. As with fillers, fat grafting should be performed by evenly distributing an appropriate amount of fat rather than grafting too much at once in order to achieve satisfactory results without complications.
