Understanding the Tummy Tuck
A ‘tummy tuck’, known medically as an abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat from a loose, sagging abdomen through liposuction, followed by the removal of loose tissue to create a smoother, firmer abdominal contour.
At BongBong Plastic Surgery, liposuction is performed from above the navel to the area below the chest and extending to the front and sides of the waist. Afterward, approximately 7 cm of tissue is minimally dissected, and the incision is lowered to the bikini line.
Through this minimal-dissection technique, the procedure also includes ideal, vertically shaped umbilicoplasty to create a more aesthetically pleasing belly button.
